There are many shopper scams to avoid. As mystery shoppers you are at risk for these kinds of predators. One of the scams that is getting bigger and targeting more people is the check scam. We have all gotten a letter in the mail with that check that looks real asking you to cash it, keeping the bulk and wiring a percent back. By the time the check is found to be a fake, the sender is gone with the money you sent. Banks hold you responsible for the total amount of the check and some people are even serving jail time for depositing the check. These kinds of predators are also targeting your email address. When I get these (which I get plenty!) I tare them up and throw them away. A rule of thumb is, IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD, IT PROBABLY IS

If you know of any new, current or old scams please post it. We all can use help when it comes to this business and from one mom (or dad) to another, money is not something to waist or loose.
